1. Who is responsible
This website (billionairequotes.com) is run by Reid Callahan, the author of Billionaire Quotes. For any question about this policy or your data, email hello@billionairequotes.com.
2. Visiting this website
This website is a set of static pages. When you visit, our hosting provider processes technical data that every browser sends, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type, to deliver the page and protect the site against attacks. This is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you.
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
3. Signing up for the free kit and emails
When you sign up, we collect your email address, your first name if you give it, the time of sign-up and confirmation, and the IP address used. We use them to:
- send you the confirmation email and the Seven-Day Action Kit;
- send you occasional emails from Reid Callahan about the book, related free material and new books (usually no more than once a month).
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use double opt-in: you're only added to the list after you click the confirmation link in the first email. This proves the address belongs to you.
Our email service measures whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can see which content is useful. You can avoid this by turning off image loading in your email program.
4. Our email service (Kit)
Emails are sent with Kit (ConvertKit, LLC, USA), which stores the sign-up data for us as a processor under a data processing agreement. Kit is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions), and its agreement also includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Kit's privacy policy: kit.com/privacy.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a suppression list only so that we don't email you again. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted regularly, at the latest after three months.
6. Withdrawing consent
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to us. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email hello@billionairequotes.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one in the country where you live.
8. Links to other sites
Links to Amazon and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. We don't control what they collect.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the website or our tools change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
